PwC Advisory Services

At at time when I was looking for various opportunities and interviewing for several positions, in early January 2022, a recruiter from PwC reached out to me early about a position of Reputational Due Diligence Analyst II. Because I speak Russian, Ukrainian, and German languages, I was a great fit for a due diligence advisory role to do investigative work identifying risk factors for multinational businesses and financial institutions.

During my short time working for PwC, I learned how to use various databases such as Factiva, Radar, and Orbis as well as resources in Russian and Ukrainian languages to synthesize findings into cohesive reports while prioritizing time sensitive projects. My most challenging one was when presented with an opportunity to deliver a report using Polish language resources, for a U.S. multinational company intending to do business with a Polish-based company. Above is a screenshot of a Polish business website where one can find basic details about company's incorporation, owners, and whether it actually exists. It was also helpful to be exposed to Polish, a language I can understand on a basic level due to similarity to Ukrainian, as in March 2022 I travelled to the Polish-Ukrainian border to help evacuate my relatives from Ukraine...
